The blistering sun was no match for the heated competition on the second day of the college Letramurals, yesterday, March 25. While the basketball and volleyball tournament were in full swing, sports like billiards and bowling entered the mix, opening opportunities for students to compete in the sports they love.

Basketball Tournament

The morning kicked off with a showdown between CELAS and CBAA 2. The sheer dominance of CBAA 2 was on full display as they dismantled the boys in blue 77-41, with CELAS still searching for their first win.

CBAA 1 also bagged another win after defeating the CEIT department 77-66 in game six of the basketball tournament.

CBAA 2 remains on top with a spotless record of 3-0, while CBAA 1 stands at 2-1. CEIT ended day two with a record of 1-2, while CELAS continues to search for their first win at 0-3.

Volleyball Tournament

In the volleyball scene, CELAS and CEIT went head-to-head in the opening matchup of day two. CELAS successfully bagged the win in two sets with a final tally of 25-16, 25-12, securing the second spot in the tournament.

Later that day, the two CBAA teams clashed, with CBAA 2 besting CBAA 1 in three nail-biting sets and a score of 22-25, 25-17, 15-12. With this win, CBAA 2 secured the top spot in the tournament standing at 3-0, cementing themselves as one of the more dominant departments in both basketball and volleyball.

Billiards and Bowling

Day two of the Letramurals introduced two more sports for every department to compete in; billiards and bowling, which were held at the Playdium Bowling Center in Quezon City.

CEIT bested the other departments as they bagged the championship on the billiards tournament, CBAA 1 and CELAS managed to secure the first and second runner up awards respectively.

It was the same story for CEIT in the bowling tournament, as the team in red clinched the top spot. CELAS was not far behind, grabbing the first runner up spot, while CBAA 1 stood on second runner up.
