AquaKnights come out triumphant in NCAA Season 99 Swimming tilt

Awards from left and right were bagged by both the juniors and seniors team of the Letran swimming teams as they swam their hearts out in the NCAA Season 99 Swimming last December 13-15 at Rizal Memorial Complex in Manila.

The junior boys team clinched a podium finish as they settled for second runner up in their respective category, hacking 23 medals while the seniors men and women were both ranked at the fourth place with four medals apiece. 

Juniors

Bronze medals were secured on different categories such as 4x50-meter medley relay by Kristoff David, Ashton Jose, Arbeen Thruelen and Jared Cuison; 4 x 100-meter freestyle relay with Miel Ugaban, Dave Miranda, Arvin Cantil and Kayel Alferos; 4x100-meter medley relay with Gabriel Patag, Jose, Thruelen and David; and 4x50-meter freestyle relay by Gabriel Gonzales, Alferos, Cantil and Miranda. 

Aside from the quartet events, the junior swimmers also clinched individual awards with Cuison having a silver medal for 400-meter individual medley, Thruelen with two bronzes in 200-meter butterfly and 100-meter freestyle and Jose who also got two bronzes for 200-meter individual medley and 200-meter breaststroke. 

Seniors

Franco Garcia made a haul for himself as he clinched various medals for categories such as a gold for 400-meter freestyle and three bronzes for 200-meter and 400-meter individual medley and 200-meter freestyle. 

Garcia, alongside Jo Lander Molina, Eirik Rivera and Joaquin Bayani also secured a bronze in the 4x50-meter medley relay. 

The senior women's quartet of Jianne Daniel, Kristiana Sampang, Melajie Cabatian and Agnes Patanao also hacked a silver medal in 4 x 50-meter freestyle relay.
