With the Letran Knights opening their NCAA Season 99 in a lackluster manner, former skippers of the team Jeo Ambohot and Fran Yu have aired out their sentiments on the said performance.

“Nakaka-disappoint lang. Kasi ‘yung Letran, winning culture ‘yan eh.” said NCAA Season 97 Finals MVP Jeo Ambohot as the Knights drop to the Mapua Cardinals, 77-71 to fall to their sixth straight defeat.

Ambohot commended the performance of the rookies, specifically Deo Cuajao, stating that the NCAA newcomer is one of the big guys in the current roster that’s why he’s one of the expected cagers to stand up for the team.

“Maniwala lang sila sa isa’t isa, sundin lang nila sinasabi ng coach nila. Nag-aadjust naman ‘yung mga coaches nila. Relax lang sila.” the Converge FiberXers Center added.

“Alam ‘kong babawi ‘yang mga yan” Ambohot ended.

On the other hand, newly signed NorthPort Batang Pier draftee Fran Yu capitalized on the fact that a lot of veterans have graduated from the team and are still in the process of regrouping.

“Mas maging team sila, ‘wag sila maging selfish. Alamin nila ‘yung role nila, kung paano sila makakatulong.” Yu said as an advice to the Rensy Bajar-spearheaded squad.

“Isang community tayo rito, walang magtutulungan dito kundi tayo-tayo lang. Suportahan natin ‘yung Knights." the NCAA Season 95 Finals MVP shared his message to the Letran community.

The Knights only have three remaining games as they seek to clinch their first win of the season; namely against Perpetual Altas on October 15, San Sebastian Golden Stags on October 18 and Benilde Blazers on October 22 to cap their first round matchups.
