With the team looking to build upon its already solid group of players headed into future seasons, Colegio de San Juan de Letran acquired the services of St. Clare College of Caloocan standout Johnsherick ‘Jimboy’ Estrada last Friday.

The young swingman affirmed his wishes of joining the team in a meeting with Coach Rensy Bajar, who had plenty of kind words to say about their new weapon.

“Masaya kami kami na nakuha natin si Jimboy Estrada kasi maganda sa kanya malakas ang loob sa laro born scorer at di umaatras sa labanan,” stated the newly appointed coach.

The mentor also shared that he thinks the reason why Estrada chose Letran is because the 5-foot-10 cager fits the system of the Muralla-based team among all the other institutions who courted him.

A proven winner, Estrada led his alma mater to a NAASCU championship in his first season with the club where he was also recognized as the Rookie MVP of the conference.

Letran’s new addition has also had promising stints within the Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup and the MPBL playing for Imus where he shined as an all-around force for his squads.

For now, Jimboy looks ahead to the Knights NCAA Season 100 campaign as he will serve his residency period along with other prospects of the Colegio.
