The Colegio’s Financial Affairs Division (FAD) cleared out that there was no tuition fee hike for this semester despite the installment of new advancements in the campus.
FAD’s comptroller Asst. Prof. Ariel Delas Alas, CPA confirmed that there was no sudden change in the tuition fees. “No, walang change sa tuition fee, hindi tayo nagkaroon ng consultation of tuition fee adjustment,” he said.
The FAD also assured that an impending shortage of fund for the college department is unlikely to happen.
“Ngayon taon kasi we only have 3rd year and 4th year because of K to 12 [program], this is the second year of implementing the K to 12, so expectedly the students in college will be the 3rd year and the 4th year students. In terms of the needs of the college student wala dapat kayong ipag-alala,” Delas Alas reassured.
This academic year, college students were no longer required to undergo a pre-enrollment process making it easier for them to have their subjects be encoded.
Mary Jean Martin, a mother of an incoming third-year Operational Management student said that the enrollment process has improved quite well compared to the situation during last semester’s enrollment.
“Okay lang ‘yung processing and medyo nag-improve na, pero sana nga mas bumilis pa ‘yung proseso, kasi sometimes ‘yung mga bata kasi naiinip minsan ‘yung mga may parent na kasama, mas okay kung ang proseso ay mas mabilis siya,” she shared.
As of this writing, Letran was able to accept around 1,150 enrollees out of 2,149 expected students based on last semester’s record.
