Letran Manila Football Club (F.C.) finished this year’s NCAA season identical to their last.  Winning three games, losing two, and having one draw, the Knights sat comfortably at the 3rd spot for the whole eliminations round.

In the semi-finals, they faced old rivals and 2nd seeded San Beda Red Lions with a twice-to-beat disadvantage where they lost 7 goals to 1 during the first game, giving them the 3rd place in the overall season.

Ang naging problema kasi namin [vs San Beda] is nag kulang kami sa training. Nag-train kami isang araw lang tapos after nun di na kami nagkita, said team captain Nikko Palacio. “Nagkita-kita na lang kami nung game na mismo,” he added. The left-footed forward scored 9 goals for the duration of the season, averaging 1 goal per game and was the team’s top-scorer.

For their overall performance, the Knights maintained their 3rd spot which was also their final place last NCAA Season 92. “Nakita ko naman na nag-improve yung teammates ko at naging maayos yung pag-lead ko sa kanila,” Palacio said.

Despite the lack of training ground and equipment, Letran Manila F.C. finished strong and is looking to be a title contender for the next season.
