Letran Defeats Mapua, Advances to NCAA Juniors’ Finals

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - The Letran Squires are set to enter the NCAA Season 98 Juniors’ Basketball Finals after defeating the Mapua Red Robins, 83-78, at the San Andres Complex.

Andy Gemao put up 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two rejections, and a block to lead Letran in scoring. Jonathan Manalili also was solid for the Squires, delivering 12 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

George Diamante put up a huge double-double performance with 10 points and 14 boards, while Jovel Baliling and Justine Hugo put up 11 and 10, respectively.

The Squires will be facing the winner of the La Salle Green Hills-San Beda final four matchup still at the San Andres Complex.
