UNDAS 2022 Road Closures in Manila

The Manila Public Information Office announced the closure of select roads near Manila North Cemetery in observance of All Saints’ Day on Tuesday, October 22, 2022. 

Starting Monday, October 31, 2022, from 10 p.m. to Wednesday, November 2, 2022, 5 p.m., the following roads in Manila shall be closed: Aurora Boulevard (from Dimasalang Road to Rizal Avenue), Dimasalang Road (from Makiling Street to Blumentritt Road), P. Guevarra (from Cavite Street to Pampanga Street), Blumentritt (from A Bonifacio to P. Guevarra Street), Retiro (from Dimasalang Road to Blumentritt Exit), and Leonor Rivera (from Cavite Street to Aurora Boulevard).

The local government unit (LGU) advised public utility jeepney (PUJ) drivers to take alternative routes.: PUJs coming from Rizal Avenue or Blumentritt shall take L. Rivera or Isagani then right to Antipolo to the point of destination; PUJs from Amoranto Street (from Quezon City) shall take Calavite then A. Bonifacio Avenue to the point of destination, and PUJs from Dimasalang Road shall take Makiling Street then Maceda Street to the point of destination (loading and unloading zone past Maceda/Makiling) are the advised alternative routes.

Parking will be allowed in the following streets: Craig Street, Simon Street, F. Huertas Street, Bulacan Street, Tecson Street, P. Guevarra Street, Sulu Street, Oroquieta Street, Metrica Street, Natividad Street, M.Hizon Street, and Kalimbas Street.

Motorists are advised not to park in the following tow-away zones: Retiro (from Aurora or Blumentritt to Bonifacio Avenue to Laong Laan), Dimasalang (from North Cemetery Gate to Makiling), and in Laon-Laan (Dos Castillas, Don Quijote, Ma. Clara, and Aragon).

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has declared October 31, 2022, as a special non-working holiday.

The Manila North Cemetery expects around seven to 10 million visits this year.
