The Colegio prides itself on being able to produce students who excellently raise the flag of Letran higher by acing the annual board exams. This is why on the evening of December 13, a testimonial dinner for board passers and topnotchers was held at Hotel Jen in Pasay city.
The program was hosted by Oliver Tabernilla and Timothy Gaspar of the Psychology program. An opening prayer was led by Edmun John Gambon, a recent passer of the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET). Promptly followed by Fr. Lauro de Dios OP, Vice President of Financial Affairs, sending a blessing to the dinner buffet.
During dinner, the Letran Singing Ambassadors moved the audience with their heartfelt performance as several guests and key people continued to arrive.
The program formally began with Assoc. Prof. Christina Castro-Cabral, Vice President of Academic Affairs, giving an inspirational speech. One of the things that stood out in her address was her notion of being a gift to others, which she emphasized by explaining that the way to tell whether someone has produced good graduates is when he/she has become a blessing to others.
This was followed by the recognition of the board passers from different programs, namely in Psychology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Engineering, and Education in the Colegio with the certificates handed by their respective program heads, deans, and faculty members.
Aside from the Letran graduates board exam passers, Asst. Prof. Angel Beroin, a Psychology faculty member, was also given recognition for having passed the Licensure Exam for Psychologists last November.
Highlighting the event were the individual testimonial speeches delivered by Psychometrician board exam topnotchers, Renz Louis Montano for the student testimonial and Mrs. Rosalie Habana, mother of fellow topnotcher Roselle Habana, for the parental testimonial (both ranked 9).
Then a closing remark by Fr. Clarence Victor Marquez, O.P. concluded the final part of the program.
