Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna and Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto visited several schools for inspection as the first day of classes started on Monday, 22 August 2022.

They were with Division of City Schools Superintendent Maria Magdalena Lim as they inspected the campuses of Bacood Elementary School and Araullo High School in the morning and Isabelo Elementary School and Jose Abad Santos High School on the afternoon shift in the afternoon.

Mayor Lacuna encouraged the students to get vaccinated during her speech at Bacood Elementary School. She stated that the vaccine will serve as another layer of protection, especially now that face-to-face classes have resumed.

Towards the end of her speech, she thanked the parents, faculty, and staff for prepping the school to protect the students from sickness.
