The call for #NoStudentLeftBehind immediately trended on Twitter back when news broke out that both DepEd and CHED planned to continue classes despite the pandemic.

Not everyone is afforded an opportunity to continue their studies. With no clear idea of when will the lockdown end, students had to be more creative with their education.

The internet is filled with thousands of readily-available learning resources. Free online seminars and classes are being offered by sites such as Coursera, Khan Academy, Skill Share, etc. Youtube is proven to be a good learning resource as well, with millions of videos ranging from basic how-tos to in-depth discussions regarding a variety of topics.

Despite most of these being free, education through the Internet is a privilege that cannot be afforded by everyone.

The multi-awarded and veteran broadcast journalist Kara David, known for her critical documentaries like “Silong”, “Buto’t Balat”, and “Alkansya”, posted her first tutorial video on YouTube about the basics of writing for TV.

She revealed that the tutorials were initially for the use of teacher broadcasters of the Department of Education, but she decided to modify it so that students and aspiring TV journalists can also make use of her content.

David’s announcement was met with ecstatic reactions from netizens.

"DITO NA AKO MAG-EENROLL SA KARA DAVID SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM” - @ralfmyk

Uy love it ma'am Kara! Looking forward for more tutorials. It's been a while na hindi ako nakapanood ng documentaries mo, but hope be there soon <3” - @AnsagReymart

This will be very helpful. Thank you miss Kara! My forever idol” - @jhnmrkcao

Aspiring media practitioners, this is your chance to learn from one of the best in the field.

At the time of writing, there are only two videos of these tutorials posted on her YouTube channel which you can find under her name. In the near future, one can expect more video tutorials from David herself.
