In commemoration of its 400 founding years, Letran rescheduled activities on November 24, Tuesday, to give way to #TulongLetranista, a relief drive to help the affected communities of the recent typhoon Ulysses.

"The celebration of our Colegio Day in this year 2020, the Quadricentennial Anniversary of Colegio de San Juan de Letran, summons us to the true spirit of TULONG LETRANISTA." the Colegio posted yesterday on their official Facebook and Twitter account.

As the institution waived synchronous classes and submission of modular activities, the Letran Community aims to "focus efforts and energies in sharing blessings and helping our fellow Filipinos, especially those [who] have been more severely affected by these recent typhoons."

This year, Letran initially planned to conduct 11 activities that will be streamed. This includes eucharistic events, online Zumba, e-sports tournament, Mr. and Ms. Letran, fun run, and several others to celebrate their fourth century as an institution.

However, with the recent Typhoon Ulysses, the administration moved all activities and substituted them with donation drives and a benefit concert.

On November 24, Tulong Letranista Day will start with Misa de Gracias, a Eucharistic celebration, followed by the opening ceremony, Buenas Dias, Letranista!

As for the main events: Ang "Handaan" ng Apat-na-Raan, the repacking of relief goods that will take place in the Colegio; Enviar, the road to deliver goods to the affected communities spearheaded by the Community Extension Department; Ayuda Letran, and Regalo, a benefit concert that will also feature performances from students.

The celebration will end with Fuente Espectacular!, a  light and fountain show at the Bonifacio Shrine and Post Office in Lawton, Manila.

With the country's current health crisis, the institution shifts to Flexible Learning Program, suspending face-to-face classes and making all events, including this year's Quadricentennial Celebration, online.
