The Letran Knights completed their comeback as they knocked-out the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates in a controversial finish, 80-79, in the second round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Despite the loss, Magnolia Hotshots head coach Chito Victolero was glad to help out Jerrick Balanza, in a tune-up game that saw the Northport Batang Pier eke out a 94-90 win against the Hotshots, held at the Blessed Antonio Varona gymnasium.
