The Colegio’s Batch 2025 held its first Baccalaureate Mass, Sulong Arriba, and Compartir La Luz at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros on Jun. 3.

The pre-graduation ceremonies were originally planned to be held at the St. Thomas Grounds inside the Colegio, and was moved to the historic Manila Cathedral due to forecasted rainfall early in the day.

The assembly of graduating Senior High School, Collegiate, and Graduate School commenced on 4:00 PM at the Plaza Miranda, proceeding with the Sulong Arriba, and the Baccalaureate Mass at 5:00 PM.

Letran Manila’s Rector and President Rev. Fr. Fernando P. Jose O.P., presided over the mass ceremony.

“Today indeed is a blessed and grace-filled day, because the Lord has arranged that your Baccalaureate Mass will be held here in Manila Cathedral,” Rev. Fr. Jose shared.

“Pagkakatanda ko po, wala pang nagaganap na Baccalaureate Mass dito sa Manila Cathedral, kaya napaka suwerte ang graduating class of 2025,” he added.

The event marks the first ever Baccalaureate Mass, Sulong Arriba, and Compartir La Luz ceremonies at the Manila Cathedral since the establishment of the Colegio in 1620.

Despite the forecasted rainfall that prompted the relocation of events from the St. Thomas Grounds to the Manila Cathedral, the weather remained calm, allowing the fireworks display to proceed during the event’s closing ceremony.
