A vibrant surge of departmental pride marked the start of Letramurals 2025 under the theme “Champion Unleashed: Igniting the Competitive Spirit,” as students flooded the Colegio grounds.

Wearing their designated colors, the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) 1 dawning green, a bright shade of yellow for CBAA 2, vibrant orange for the College of Education (COED), cool blue for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), and a fiery red for the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT).

This academic year’s most anticipated event paraded thrilling events such as the Mr. and Ms. Letramurals 2025, the basketball and volleyball games, and table tennis duels.

Mr. and Ms. Letramurals

Adding to the excitement of the first day of Letramurals was the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Letramurals. Representing the CEIT, Mr. Christian Jhayms Cabuenas and Ms. Chynna Annsy Okamoto bagged the titles, showcasing their department’s spirit in racing suits.

Basketball

CBAA 2 drew first blood with a decisive 80-56 victory over the CLAS. CBAA 1 followed suit, displaying their offensive firepower in a commanding 104-69 win against the CEIT.

CLAS bounced back in their second matchup, securing a hard-fought 77-65 victory over CEIT. The day culminated in a thrilling intra-CBAA battle, with CBAA 2 edging out their fellow college team, CBAA 1, in a close 75-73 victory.

Volleyball

CLAS emerged victorious in the opening volleyball match against CBAA 1, winning in three sets, 27-29, 25-7, 15-12.

Meanwhile, CEIT asserted their dominance in the next game, sweeping CBAA 2 in straight sets with scores of 25-21 and 25-19.

Table Tennis

CEIT added another plum to their Letramurals tally, claiming the top spot in the table tennis tournament at the PE rooms. CBAA 2 finished closely behind in second place, and CLAS rounded out the top three.

The Letran grounds will once again be filled with action tomorrow, April 8, in another exciting slate of basketball and volleyball matchups for Day 2.
