Manila, Philippines – According to the weather bureau on Friday afternoon, Severe Tropical Storm ‘Kristine’ (international name: Trami) exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
As of 2 PM, Friday, Kristine exited PAR and is now moving west northwestward at 30 kilometers per hour, PAGASA said.

PAGASA says that Kristine is expected to continue moving westward over the West Philippines Sea until Saturday and may loop counterclockwise on Sunday and Monday. A weather disturbance outside PAR has intensified into a tropical storm named Kong-rey as its international name– and may enter the PAR on Sunday and will be called “Leon.”
Both Kristine and Kong-rey will bring a strong gale-force gusts over these Mimaropa, Bicol region, Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Davao region on Friday.
Both weather system will also bring a moderate to heavy rainfall up to 100 millimeters over these areas: Palawan, Western Visayas, Negros Occidental, southern portion of Negros Oriental and Zamboanga Peninsula until Saturday afternoon.
Typhoon Kristine left devastation in the Philippines. In fact, over 3.3 Million Filipinos have been affected, at least 40 people were found dead in Luzon. Ten of thousands have been replaced due to severe flooding and landslides, the Department of Social Welfare and Development said on Friday.
