The Letran Knights obtained the win against the FEU Tamaraws, 68-62, in a play-off match of the Pinoyliga Collegiate Cup held at the Enderun Colleges in Taguig City earlier today.

Peter Rosillo nagged the player of the game as he dropped 14 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and a steal, followed by Stephen Garupil, who garnered 13 markers, three boards, and two dimes, and Jhornel Tangkay, who finished with 12.

FEU kicked off the match with a fierce offensive display only for Rosillo, Nat Montecillo, and Jovel Baliling, who cashed in their own consecutive three-pointers, to swing the advantage to Letran, 18-16.

Despite ending the opening quarter with some momentum, the Knights struggled to gain a sizable advantage as the Tamaraws matched their intensity on the offensive and defensive ends through the following quarters.

The Muralla-based squad clinged onto a volatile seven-point lead headed into the last quarter but an FEU run allowed them to come within two, 52-50.

In an effort to seal the win and prevent the comeback, Garupil and Tangkay spearheaded a 16-12 scoring tally that shunned any late game rally from the Tamaraws enroute the win.

FEU Tamaraws' Rojan Montemayor poured in 17 points, three rebounds, and a steal, together with John Godinez's 10 markers, three boards, two steals, and a dime.

The Letran Knights' next match will be posted on the Pinoyliga Collegiate Cup's Facebook page and on their official site.
