Saints and Lattes-Letran continued their winning ways as they pulled out a commanding 25-18, 25-6, 25-21 sweep against Coast Guard to proceed in the quarterfinals round of the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference yesterday at Paco Arena in Manila.

With 21 points built on 16 attacks and five blocks, Vince Himzon top scored for the Muralla-based team while Derrick Bautista contributed 10.

As the momentum went towards Letran's favor throughout the early goings of the match, they held off any run that was made by Coast Guard to get their third straight win as they ended the elimination round with a 4-1 card.

The Saints Spikers took full dominion of the court on the second set to just limit Lifesavers with six points, but the Lifesavers regrouped to give the Saints Spikers a scare in the following frame by hacking out an 11-7 blitz.

However, Derrick Bautista and Himzon delivered clutch markers for Letran to prove themselves worthy of a spot in the next round of the league.

Aidam Adam topscored for the Lifesavers with 12 points.

Letran Saints Spikers will continue to strive as they will have their next match on December 3, Sunday, still at the same place against Cabstars-Cabuyao.
