The Letran Knights successfully gain their second win in the NCAA Season 99 Men’s Basketball at the expense of Arellano Chiefs, 67-58 earlier today at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Head tactician Rensy Bajar is indeed joyous to see his players with big improvements, citing player of the game Kobe Monje who led the team with 13 points, four assists and one steal.

Also joining Monje was rookie Jay Garupil who provided nine points and three assists.

En route to the final canto, Letran held the lead and did not let Arellano steal it from them until the final minute.

As it started intense for both teams, the momentum was on the Knights in the first half of the game. 6 Knights scored 8 points or more with 5 of them continuing to provide much-needed help to put up scores.

Arellano tried to close the gap, as Josua Abastillas led the Chiefs with nine points, one assist and one steal together with Lars Sunga who tallied nine points, three rebounds and one block.

Even though the Letran Knights are casted out from the Final Four contention, Bajar said that he still continued to motivate the team and let them step up in their remaining games.

The Knights still have two games left for the elimination round and will be facing CSB Blazers in their next game on November 19 at 2:40pm, at the same venue.
