The Letran Knights raked in another loss in a match during the NCAA Season 99 against the JRU Heavy Bombers, 74-79, held earlier at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Kobe Monje continued to be a stable force for the Knights as he accumulated 18 points and two assists, alongside Vince Cuajao, who bagged 16 points, three assists, and a steal.

As the match started, the Knights made their way to dominate the court by leading the score, which made the Heavy Bombers tighten up their defense as the Knights focused on their offensive gameplay, 22-20.

Despite the dominance shown by the Knights, JL Delos Santos and Ry Dela Rosa backed up the Heavy Bombers' impulse into the second quarter and cleared the path for them to head off the match.

The favor had been an ally of the JRU Heavy Bombers as they continued to serve flawless shots that led to a double-digit lead of 12 points against the Letran Knights.

Without showing any hopelessness inside the court, Cuajao warmed up and released the ball outside the 3-point line and gained points for the team, followed by Kevin Santos with a fierce rejection.

On the other hand, Letran Knights' Paolo Javillonar found a way to slow down the Heavy Bombers' momentum as he singled-out pushed through the opponent's heightened defense wall and gained points.

Even with the progress that the Knights showed, Heavy Bombers' Agem Miranda and Marwin Dionisio stepped up their game.

The Heavy Bombers' zone planning became effective and helpful as it made the Knights vulnerable to their positions.

Cuajao once again tried to redeem the team with his effortless 3-pointers but it was still not enough to tear down the Heavy Bombers' eagerness to end the match, 74-79.

JRU Heavy Bombers' Agem Miranda led the scoring in his respective team with 17 points, four rebounds and an assist, followed by JL Delos Santos, who accumulated 14 points and a steal.

In another match for the Letran Knights, they will face the Arellano Chiefs on November 14 at 4:00 PM, at the same venue.
