Letran Community Volunteers promote sustainable practice of reducing waste through a “Bring Your Tumbler to School Day: A Reduce-Waste Campaign.”

The reduce-waste campaign will commence every Thursday of the month of October at the right side of Salon de Actos from 12noon to 1:30PM.

The step forward of LCV urge Letranites to bring their tumbler to get free juice.

“In-eencourage ng LCV ang Letran Community na mag-participate sa Reduce Waste Campaign ng organisasyon sa pamamagitan ng pagdadala ng kanya kanyang tumblr at kapalit nito ay ang pagbibigay sakanila ng free juice,” said LCV president Franz Arceleta.

Aside from the objective to urge Letranites to bring tumbler, Arceleta also shared to The LANCE that they also come up with other ways to reduce waste.

“We highly encourage our fellow Letranites na mag-donate sa aming booth such as old clothes, school supplies, canned goods, etc.,” shared Arceleta.

He also added that all of the donations will be turned over to the Colegio’s partner communities right after the activity of Center for Community Development.

The key concept of the campaign is to address the flooding waste of plastic specifically water bottles consumed by Letranites which eventually deteriorates our environment.

The objective of the said activity is to encourage the community to use reusable tumbler instead of plastic bottles.
