Saint and Lattes-Letran dominates Santa Rosa Lions, clinches first win in Spiker’s Turf

Saint and Lattes Letran crushed the Santa Rosa Lions, 25-21, 25-18, and 25-16, as they controlled the game-winning straight sets in Spiker's Turf Invitational conference at Paco Arena Manila on Wednesday.

Himzon's efforts resulted to 15 points built on 12 attacks, and three aces, and he was named the game's best player along with Bautista, who contributed 14 points through 11 attacks, and an ace.

As they discovered their momentum in the first half of the first set, the Intramuros-based group sparked the supremacy on the court.

After taking the opening two sets, the Letran spikers exploded in the third with a 6-0 blitz to take control of the game, 17-0. With the team's confidence continuously building, Vince Himzon delivered offense for the team. 

They extended their lead in consecutive sets thanks to Chister Ambrocio and Himzon's solid, rapid attacks and despite the quantity of miscues, they set the way for a nine-point run to clinch the victory.

The Santa Rosa Lions attempted to expand their lead in the last set, but were hampered by errors. 

Himzon's efforts resulted in an excellent 15 points, 12 admirable attacks, and three aces, and he was named the game's best player along with Bautista, who contributed 14 points, 11 assaults, and one ace.

''Walang tigil kami kaka training lunes hanggang sabado sa umaga workout sa hapon bola, basta tuloy-tuloy lang kami'' Himzon said regarding their win. 

Saint and Lattes will face Cignal HD Spikers on Paco Arena on November 3 at 3 p.m.
