The Colegio will be celebrating a thanksgiving event titled, ‘Full of Grace.’

The event will aim to bring honor to Melvin Bernardino, the recently celebrated alumnus who notched the top spot in the nutritionist-dietitian board examinations as well as for the other examinees who made it possible for the Colegio to achieve a 100 percent passing rate in the said examination.

To add, it will also bring honor to Eljhon Capili, the recent second placer at the electrical engineering board exams and its passers; also achieving a perfect passing rate.

According to Office of the Alumni and Public Affairs Directress Jhennie Villar, this celebration is originally set on September 8, in observance of the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary, however the Colegio decided to give thanks to all the blessings recently bestowed on the community.

She also explained the meaning behind Los Primeros as designed for the shirts at the said event.

“It means, parang, we are number one, because we are proud that one of our students topped the board exams.”

The motorcade will begin 1:30PM at the Colegio grounds heading to the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila wrapping back up to the Colegio.

A grand float for Bernardino and Capili together with the other passers will be in position along with several cars hailing from different departments of the Colegio signifying their support on the academic feat.

Villar assured that the event is well prepared although it was urgent.

“Madalian eh, we got the result two weeks ago, pero so far, so good naman.”

With this, she encouraged the Letran community to attend the celebration to show pride and unity for their fellow Letranites.

After the the said motorcade, a thanksgiving mass will commence at the Blessed Antonio Varona Gymnasium, followed by a festive dinner party at the Colegio grounds in a form of ‘Fiesta.’

Aside from the free food, Letranites should also expect local talents performing during this party coming from the Colegio’s very own students and faculty members.
