The defending champions are placed in an unfamiliar setting as they continue their winless streak in the NCAA Season 99 Men's Basketball, this time with a loss against the ferocious Generals, 65-75 earlier today at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Deo Cuajao paced the Letran Knights as he accumulated 12 points, two blocks, an assist, and a steal while Pao Javillonar gained 11 points in their third straight loss since the opening of the season.

Skipper Kurt Reyson eked out an abysmal performance in the match as he only scored seven markers, with a disappointing 1/12 FG.

The Knights also displayed dismal three-point shooting as they accumulated 2/22 field goals.

With grit and tenacity, Generals' Kyle Ochavo and Nat Cosejo denied the Knight's effort and proved that they were just unstoppable as they commenced a commanding 2-14 blitz within the last two minutes of the game.

In the first quarter, the EAC Generals showed dominance against the Letran Knights as they eagerly led the match.

Cuajao, nevertheless, showed perseverance as he excelled with his offense and focused more on the defense gameplay, which quite surprised the strategy of the Generals.

Despite this, Generals' King Gurtiza responded to his calling and charged back, not wanting the waves to be in  favor of the Letran Knights' side.

Kier Galvez, to redeem the Letran Knights after the second half, tied the scores to 39, followed up by a free throw, to lead by one point.

Gurtiza took possession of the ball once again, and later on, the Knights' showed evident struggle to gain their momentum in overcoming the Generals' strategy..

Generals' Gurtiza bagged game-high 23 markers and three assists that helped his respective team claim victory over the match, Jp Maguliano also dropped 14 points.

As the Knights are looking to hack out their first win, an archrival matchup is set on October 6 against the San Beda Red Lions, still at the same venue.
