After announcing his departure from the University of Sto. Tomas last Monday, guard Jordan Sta. Ana is set to transfer to Colegio de San Juan de Letran, head coach Jeff Napa confirmed on Friday.

However, four days after announcing his exit from UST, the former Bullpup could not resist his former mentor’s offer and committed to join him in Intramuros.

“Si Sta. Ana nasa akin na, Sta. Ana committed to play for Letran,” Napa said after their 94-71 victory against the Jose Rizal University in the Filoil Preseason Cup.

Sta. Ana played under Napa during their time with the NU Bullpups and was one of the key cogs for the Bullpups’ dominant run.

The 6-foot guard averaged 11.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists for the Growling Tigers who won only one game in Season 80. Sta. Ana flourished under head coach Boy Sablan and emerged as the team’s third best scorer.

Sta. Ana though will have to sit out a year before playing for the Knights.
