People inside and outside of the Colegio have been rotating in the circles of agony as their all-time favorite companion, 7-11 Muralla, was closed down for good last May 2017.

After President and Rector Rev. Fr. Clarence Marquez O.P. announced the innovation that awaits the campus in his speech for the Letran Alumni Association’s (LAA) grand centennial celebration, a lot of students have been wondering how the old 7 11 will look like after several refurbishments.

In an interview, Director of the Planning and Development Office, Asst. Professor Randy Castillo reveals that the Colegio’s Board of Trustees finally decided to purchase the old 7 11 Muralla and make it more enticing as Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) house Muralla.

“The Board of Trustees saw how reliant the Letranites are with 7 11 Muralla—all they want is for the students to enjoy their years in the Colegio, that is why they thought of actually buying 7 11 and turn it into something ‘more’,” Castillo explained.

Renovation for the upcoming PBB house will begin on the 19th of April, this way, fresh graduates of Letran would want to stay in the campus for another four years or so, depending on how much more they would like to enter the new place— Public Affairs Directress, Jhennie Villar calls this ‘a fresh marketing strategy.'

ABS-CBN Entertainment Production Director, and now Institute of Communication’s Chairperson, Mr. Laurenti Dyogi will begin his “housemate screening” on July 16.

Endless entertainment and drama will surround the campus as televisions around Letran will show happenings inside PBB house Muralla 24/7.

All the materials needed for PBB house Muralla’s development is in the meticulous hands of Engineering, Building and Grounds Director, Prof. Ma. Nancy Balasan.

“I guess, everyone is in dire need of happiness sometimes, we all need a comfortable place to release all the negative emotions we have accumulated for days. PBB house Muralla is there for people regardless of how they feel,” Balasan explained.

The Colegio’s Board of Trustees have yet to consider what they want to purchase next, but as of this writing, the aspiring Letranite housemates place their high hopes before the gates of PBB house Muralla.

UP NEXT: GMA’s StarStruck will dominate Blessed Antonio Varona gymnasium.
