Colegio de San Juan de Letran looks to bounce back from their previous loss as they face Emilio Aguinaldo College on Friday, June 2, at the FilOil EcoOil 16th Preseason Cup in San Juan.

The Knights are coming off a 66-59 loss against Lyceum of the Philippines University on Sunday, failing to complete a 17-point comeback against their fellow Intramuros-based squad.

Deo Cuajao, the game's leading scorer with 25 points, ignited the Knights with a string of three-pointers to cut the lead to as close as four, 63-59, but LPU was able to fend off Letran to finally shut the door on their Intramuros neighbors with a triple from John Barba.

Kurt Reyson also contributed eight points and four assists but the Knights fell off to 4-2. Kevin Santos and Neil Guarino also contributed six and five respectively, while Kint Ariar and Bryan Alarcon scored four markers each.

John Barba contributed 16 points and nine rebounds, and Gyle Montaño scored 13 points and 3 boards. Former Squires Shawn Umali and Enoch Valdez also showed up for Lyceum, with the former putting up an 11-point, 13-rebound double-double, while the latter scored eight markers.

Before their June 2 matchup, EAC will face Lyceum first on May 31 at 10 AM. The Knights and the Generals’ bout on Friday is scheduled at 10 AM as well.
