The Letran Lady Knights continue their winning ways as they defeat the San Sebastian Lady Stags, 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 29-27, in the NCAA Season 98 Womens' Volleyball tournament on Friday at the San Andres Complex in Manila.

It was an intense game as the Stags clinched the first set, but the Lady Knights got to even the contest at 1-1. With the momentum going towards Letran's favor, they held off any run that was made by Baste to get their third win in four games.

“Kailangan i-handle yung pressure at nag-focus lang po ako sa loob, inisip ko po mga teammates ko kasi pagod na po lahat at kailangan na po matapos ng game, ” shared best player of the game Natalie Estreller on what her mindset was towards the endgame. She finished with five points, three attacks, one block, one ace, and 11 executive sets.

Judiel Nitura topscored for the Lady Knights with 17 points while Cha Cunada chipped in 16. Meanwhile, the Letran Knights improved to 2-2 after defeating their counterparts from San Sebastian, 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22.

Letran went on an early lead to go up 2-0, but the Golden Stags banked on a defensive third set to try catch up with the Knights.

Vince Himzon and Michael Doria led Letran in the final set to finally beat SSC-R, and it was Lou Ambrocio who scored the win for the Knights.

Himzon scored 21 points, followed by Doria's 19 and Byron Nicolas' 16. Ambrocio also chipped in 11.

Letran’s next game is against Jose Rizal University on Wednesday at the same venue in Manila.
