Lady Knights beat San Beda, Mapua to start NCAA Season 98 Beach Volleyball

The Beach Volleyball event makes its return in this NCAA Season 98 wherein it will hold the tournament from January 17-21 at the Sand Courts of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales.

Three players each from the Seniors Women’s and Men’s Volleyball suited up for the team to represent the Colegio’s blue and red. 

Women’s Division:

Lara Mae Silva, Chamberlaine Cuñada, and Lea Rizel Tapang,

Men’s Division:

Justine Alido Alejandro, Raxel Redd Ubaldo Catris, and Christer Lou Famoso Ambrocio

The Lady Knights were off to a hot start, starting the first game day with a 2-1 record. They bested the Mapua Cardinals in 2 sets in the first game of the competition, 21-13, 21-15. They lost to Perpetual, 21-15, 21-16. The Lady Knights ended the day with a strong showing after beating the defending champions and rival San Beda, 21-18, 21-17.  

Moving over to the Men’s Division, the Knights finished the day with a 1-2 record, losing to Perpetual and San Beda. Their lone win was against Mapua in 3 sets, 21-17, 14-21, 15-10.
