A powerful magnitude 6.4 earthquake jolts northern Luzon late in the evening on tuesday night.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the quake occurred at 10:59 P.M., hit at a depth of 28 kilometers, about northwest of Lagayan in Abra province.
The quake was also felt in nearby areas, including Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Baguio City.
Phivolcs warns the public of possible aftershocks.
According to GMA’s Unang Hirit report, some churches, establishments, and houses in Ilocos Norte and Abra were damaged by the quake.
