Letran suffers another heartbreaking loss to San Beda

The Knights failed to avenge their first-round loss against archrival Red Lions, 63-75, Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

The Knights managed to recover and tied the game 42-all after an 8-0 run with 6:22 remaining in the third.

However, the Red Lions responded with a 20-0 run to re-mount a 20-point lead heading to the fourth.

Letran was able to cut San Beda’s lead to 12 earlier in the fourth but failed to overcome San Beda keeping their undefeated slate, 15-0, while the Knights fell to a 9-6 scorecard after suffering back-to-back defeats.

Larry Muyang led the Knights with 13 points and three assists while King Caralipio and Jerrick Balanza both chipped in 11 points.

The Knights will next battle against Arellano Chiefs on October 3, 2 PM at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
