Ato Ular and Larry Muyang overpowered the JRU Heavy Bombers in Letran’s 81-61 domination to start the second round in the NCAA Season 95, Tuesday, at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Ular posted 17 points and seven rebounds while Muyang scored 10 points and 5 rebounds as the Knights improved to 7-3, tying LPU for the second spot.

Despite Chester Jungco hitting Muyang on the face, the big man joined forces with Ular for 12 points in a 14-2 run in the last seven minutes that gave Letran the much-needed separation.

“Okay lang na masaktan ako, basta manalo, kaya sinasakripisyo ko talaga ‘yung katawan ko,” said Muyang on what fueled that run.

Fran Yu then blasted back-to-back treys in the last 18 seconds to wrap up the win for the Knights.

Bonbon Batillier scored 13 points and 5 rebounds while Fran Yu tallied a season-high with 16 points.
