Bonbon Batillier unleashed a dagger three that stopped the Cardinals from mounting their first win, 89-84, Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Knights blew their 11-point lead at the fourth as the Cardinals nearly closed the gap, 86-84, with 33.9 secs on the clock, with Christian Buñag sending off a two.
Mapua came close but Batillier delivered a deep dagger three beating the shot-clock. Ato Ular then blocked Buñag preserving the win for Letran.
Batillier finished with 15 points, four rebounds and three assists while Larry Muyang led the game with 24 points and nine rebounds.
